This was one of the item in their menu Ghar ka khana. I could not believe it was methi seeds in the subji because it was just like any other legume/ dal.
Methi fenugreek seeds and papad sabji is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. Methi fenugreek seeds and papad sabji is something which I have loved my whole life. They are fine and they look fantastic.
To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have methi fenugreek seeds and papad sabji using 14 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Methi fenugreek seeds and papad sabji:
- Get 250 gm methi(fenugreek) seeds soaked overnight and boiled
- Get 3 Papad
- Get for Tempering
- Get pinch hung/asafoetida
- Get 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Take 2 tsp oil
- Get 1 tdp cumin seeds
- Get 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Take to taste red chilli powder
- Get 1 tsp cumin powder
- Get 3 tsp Garlic Chutney
- Get to taste salt
- Get 2 tsp Jaggery
- Take 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
The dana methi papad sabzi is prepared by cooking fenugreek seeds (methi seeds) and papad pieces in a thick curd-based gravy. Methi Papad is a mouthwatering delicacy that provides you a clear taste of Gujarati cuisine - simple yet irresistibly tasty! A thin sauce like preparation with fenugreek leaves and a traditional tempering, is topped with shredded papads and served hot with roti, puri or rice. Slightly roast papad in oil and keep aside.
Instructions to make Methi fenugreek seeds and papad sabji:
- Take methi seeds and soak overnight
- Next day. Boil and give 5 to 6 whistle… And strain… Wash the boiled Methi seeds 5 to 6 times so dat the bitter taste gets washed off
- Now take a kadai. Put oil for tempering… Put mustard seeds. Jeera. Hing…and put the boil methi seeds
- Now add spices as per the likes… Red chilli powder. Turmeric powder. Coriander jeera powder. Garlic chutney salt to taste…
- Now add jaggery and kokam to it… Let it have a good mix. Now add water as per your need… Let it have a boil
- Now after boil add papad in it and stir well… Let it boil for 5mins
- Now your sabji is ready to serve… Garnish with coriander… Tastes best with any chapati. Rice…
A thin sauce like preparation with fenugreek leaves and a traditional tempering, is topped with shredded papads and served hot with roti, puri or rice. Slightly roast papad in oil and keep aside. Add fenugreek seeds and yogurt mixture. Serve Papad methi dana sabji along with roti. Add the tomato, ginger-green chilli paste, curds and turmeric and mix well and cook till the water gets dried up.
